by Daniella Sforza
i
the time before
and after our time,
when I lived as seed,
and could have been
a horse, a man, a tree.
cosmonaut in inner space
seeking no questions
nor answers.
ii
i know sacred geometry
is encoded in the blood,
the water and the soil.
when day and night are equal
at the center of the earth,
and when we all get yet
another chance.
iii
by degrees and angles
i see we chart proximity
hold dear our rituals,
pass the wine,
adorning our hearts with light
we lay naked in worship
at the shore of an immensity.
iv
i am in the balance
with godless spirit most alive.
i partake of harvest pleasure,
and share it gratefully.
and look to the moon,
for all Mabon’s secrets
will unfold as silver and gold.
v
when tiny hexagons fall. i figure
where do outside creatures go?
while the leaves sleep.
if all the love in the world
would fall like these crystals
and blanket everyone
everywhere.
vi
here in the silence between
each thought, you will find me.
stretched out not quite naked,
clothed in the fallen sounds of every word,
wrapped in prose. the sands of all the hours
before me to come, imprinted on my skin.
